3M™ 27 Glass Cloth Electrical Tape is a premium quality insulation tape consisting of a 0.125mm layer of glass cloth (total tape thickness is 0.177mm) and a rubber pressure sensitive thermosetting adhesive. It is designed for use in 600 volt dry applications that require a insulation tape with high mechanical strength and resistance to elevated temperatures. 27 Glass Cloth Tape is UL Recognised and CSA accepted and can be used in 150ºC rated electrical applications. The glass cloth used in this tape is specially treated to provide corrosion free protection and will not shrink, rot or burn. The tape has a high tensile strength, good conformability and can be printed on. 3M 27 Adhesive Glass Tape is often utilised for the insulation of electric and induction-type furnace power supply leads, for insulating motor lead connectors, switches and controls and as an insulation in coil wrapping overwrap.
