Common uses include ground and EMI shielding in equipment, components and shielded rooms. Although there are many factors that determine the true shielding effectiveness of a shielding tape, the typical shielding effectiveness (far field) of 3M 1170 Aluminium EMI Shielding Tape is in the range of 60dB to 75Db (30 MHz to 1 GHz).
