BlueGuard 3000 is a popular grade of general purpose compressed fibre jointing manufactured by Garlock. Like many of the other general purpose grades such as Alapin or C4430, BlueGuard 3000 is also made from a blend of aramid fibres with a NBR (nitrile) binder. This jointing is known for its high quality and offers excellent sealability, improved torque retention and drastically lowers emissions levels. As a general purpose gasket material, it can be used to seal a wide range of media including water, aliphatic hydrocarbons, oils and gasoline. It also features a non-stick finish that aids in separation from the flange after use. Blueguard 3000 is available for purchase from Associated Gaskets in either sheet or cut gasket form. The sheet size measures 1500mm x 1500mm however other sizes are available on request. It is available in 4 thicknesses 0.4mm, 0.8mm, 1.5mm & 3mm.
