The universal putty in our comprehensive range of Weicon Plastic Metal products, Weicon Plastic Metal A exhibits a good combination of strength, adhesion and long lasting performance. This two-part putty can be formed, shaped and positioned before setting like steel. Manufactured from a special formula of steel filled epoxy resin, Weicon Plastic Metal A can be used for a wide range of applications. These include: Eliminating corrosion damage and pitting on tanks Making repairs to pipes and castings Repairing cracks on housings and machine parts Marking moulds, models, tools and fixtures Weicon Plastic Metal A is also certified by Germanischer Lloyd and is widely used in the marine industry Dark grey in colour, Weicon Plastic Metal can be applied in maximum layer thicknesses of 10mm (per application) and has a pot life of 60 minutes. This economical putty is fully cured after approximately 24 hours and cures with very little shrinkage (around 0.015%). Once cured, Weicon Plastic Metal A is used in applications where temperatures are expected to be between -35ºC and 120ºC.
